Open Calculator View Score Charts →The Army Fitness Test (AFT) is the U.S. Army's physical fitness assessment, replacing the ACFT. It evaluates soldiers across five events designed to measure muscular strength, endurance, and aerobic capacity.
Scores are based on your category (Combat, Male, or Female) and age group. Each event is worth up to 100 points.
Each event targets a different component of physical fitness.
Measures lower body and core muscular strength. You have three attempts to lift the maximum weight possible using a hex bar.
Strength · lbsTests upper-body muscular endurance. Perform as many repetitions as possible. Hands must fully leave the ground at the bottom of each rep.
Endurance · repsA 250-foot course combining a sprint, sled drag, lateral shuffle, kettle bell carry, and sprint back. Measures anaerobic capacity and power.
Power · MM:SSMeasures core muscular endurance. Hold a forearm plank position as long as possible. Capped at 3:40 (maximum 100 points).
Core · MM:SSThe classic aerobic endurance event. Run two miles as fast as possible on a flat course. Measures cardiovascular and muscular endurance.
Aerobic · MM:SSChoose Combat (C), Male (M), or Female (F) and your age group from the dropdown.
